Fall Events and Festivals in Halton

Fall Has Arrived

Fall is here and there are so many ways to celebrate the season. Whether that’s going for a hike at Mount Nemo and experiencing the beautiful colours or visiting some fall festivals and events.

Halton is a large area and each community has there own events to check out. Burlington has a festival that you might consider going to that’s perfect for the whole family, the Harvest Festival. And in Oakville you might want to visit their Autumn Festival and then Halton Hills you have one last chance to get to their farmers market.

Burlington: Harvest Festival

The Harvest Festival runs every weekend starting September 22nd to October 28th at Springridge Farms 10am – 4pm. This event is perfect for the whole family. Activities include wagon rides, spooky barn, singing chicken show, goat mountain, spider web climber and farm yard pip slide. You’ll also have access to The Farm Yard which includes the animal barn, giant sand box, corn trail, tube slide, bale jumping and the escarpment lookout. Springridge Farms also offers pony rides for an additional cost of $15. 

Admission to the festival is $13 per person ages 2-92 (includes HST). However, there’s no charge if you’re interested in just visiting the gift shop, bakery or farmers market. And Springridge Farms will be having a bbq with a great menu for the whole family.

Fall has always been harvest time for rural Burlington and farms have a history of celebrating this time of year with festivals and events. In addition, Burlington conservation areas offer guided educational walks. But Burlington isn’t the only city to host a series of events, Oakville has many as well. You’re able to find the entire list on their respective websites.

Oakville: Autumn Harvest

Looking for something to do on the weekend in Oakville look no further than the Autumn Harvest festival. This festival is held every Saturday in October from 1pm – 4pm. You can join others and celebrate the beautiful fall colours in downtown Oakville. There will be hayrides through downtown with the pickup location being Towne Square. 

Maybe ghosts are more your thing, Oakville Historical Society will be a hosting a ghost walk. This costs $12 per person and $6 per child. Downtown Oakville is a beautiful place to explore with many shops and walking trails by the lake. Halton Hills also offers up some great fall festivals and events that you and your family might like to check out.

Halton Hills: Georgetown Farmers Market

There’s nothing quite like a farmers market on a Saturday morning in the fall. Georgetown hosts one every Saturday from 8am – 12:30pm until October 13th. This is the last weekend so make sure you get out there and support your local community. The farmers market is located along Main St between James St and Church St as well as in the municipal parking lot at the corner of Church and Main.
