{"id":341,"date":"2015-05-05T22:35:15","date_gmt":"2015-05-06T02:35:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.loriv.com\/blog\/?p=341"},"modified":"2022-11-14T13:25:14","modified_gmt":"2022-11-14T18:25:14","slug":"new-record-for-sales","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/loriv.com\/blog\/real-estate-market\/new-record-for-sales\/","title":{"rendered":"New Record for Sales in Hamilton-Burlington"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>(May 5, 2015 &#8211; Hamilton, Ontario) The REALTORS\u00ae Association of Hamilton-Burlington (RAHB) <a href=\"https:\/\/s1.cdn.rahb.ca\/rahbca\/press\/2015\/may\/150505statsreleaseApril.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported <\/a>a record 1,699 property sales processed through the RAHB Multiple Listing Service\u00ae (MLS\u00ae) system in April. This represents a 15.7 per cent increase in sales compared to April of last year, and smashes the old record of 1,660 all property sales set in May of 2014.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Greater Hamilton-Burlington real estate market has never seen this kind of activity,&#8221; said RAHB CEO Ross Godsoe. &#8220;There are a number of areas in Hamilton, Burlington and even outlying communities where, on average, properties are being sold for full list price or higher. It\u2019s rare to see that kind activity as an average for an area.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Listings and sales in the residential market are well over average for the month,&#8221; added Godsoe. &#8220;Despite the increase in listings, end of month inventory is still considered low, at just over two months of inventory.
